    Jeff,

My name is Chris Bedel and I’m the Preserve Director for Cincinnati Museum Center at the 14,000 acre Edge of Appalachia Preserve in southern Ohio. Every year I organize the Adams County Amish Bird Symposium and would linquire if you’d be interested in presenting. No, there’s no Amish birds, but there are Amish Birders! It’s a one day affair with 5 speakers on bird related topics. The audience is general. Mostly enthusiastic beginnings to moderately experienced birders. Last year we had Dr. Geoff Hill talk about his work locating ivory-billed woodpeckers and Sherri Williamson on some of her hummingbird work. Usually about 300 or so folks attend which makes it the biggest natural history based event in these rural parts. The date is Saturday, March 7, 2009 from 9:30AM-4PM. We can talk about compensation if you think you’re interested. We’d obviously cover all your costs to travel and talk with you about a speaker fee. Please let me know your thoughts as soon convenient for you. Thanks much. Also, Bill Thompson is familiar with the event and can fill you in. I saw him on your website so figure you know him.
