Well, quality is better than quantity and these bird photos are outstanding. This is the best look I’ve had at the Northen Parula. Most days we only saw birds through the mist, which dampened their colors quite a bit but what fun we had! Thanks for coming along as a guide. I don’t think I will ever be able to hear “Secret Agent Man” again without thinhking of you and the Swinging Orangutangs! You did a great job! BTW, Tell your Mom “Hi” for me. I’ll be posting the photo of the Kathies and Kathleens later on next week!

It was not a good week for birdy photos but let me tell you that Parula made me gasp. It’s beautiful.

Now if I can get my energy level higher, I’ll concentrate on getting a post up this week.

Completely unfair! First, you say you didn’t get to take many pictures, then you show absolutely GORGEOUS birds like the scarlet tanager and the northern parula.

Great birding with you, and thanks for all your help and hard work getting us some great birds. It was so nice to meet your Mom – I really liked her a lot, and when I get a copy of the “Kathy’s” photo, I will have to find out how to get one to her.

So nice to meet you Jeff at New River! I enjoyed your expertise on our little field trip and I have the cutest picture of you ‘sleeping’ on the bus. haha It’s so nice of you to link all our blogs so everyone can see who posts what. Seems the girls are tired.. they are slow getting the posts up. Oh! I have to mention how much I enjoyed your singing abilities! What an awesome festival. Great post and beautiful images. Conflicts did keep me from traveling that way, but maybe I’ll see you there next year.
