¡Mucha Lluvia!
Greetings from Panama!
I’m one day into a press tour of Panama, sponsored by the Panama La Verde Birding Circuits. It’s absolutely wonderful to be back here in one of my favorite countries.

Yesterday morning we were up early and flew from Panama City to Chiriqui, Panama’s western province. A beautiful but somewhat ominous cloud bank hung over the skyline as we boarded our plane.

Landing in David, group member Kees Van Berkel gets acquainted with the rain that was to be our nearly constant companion. That’s OK–this is the rainy season and we were headed to the cloud forest.
We spent the afternoon birding in Volcan Baru and La Amistad national parks, where we enjoyed a host of lovely birds, including brief looks at a couple of Resplendant Quetzals. The only bird I managed to take an OK picture, of though, was this Green Violetear.
Right now, we’re finishing up breakfast and getting ready to head back up into the cloud forest–can’t wait to get back out there!

Showoff! I am glad you are having a good time! Take more shots of hummers!
